Former Liverpool participant, Danny Murphy, has hit out at midfielder Naby Keita, branding him the worst signing made throughout supervisor Jurgen Klopp’s period.
Keita joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summertime of 2018.
However, the 27-year-old has struggled to keep up consistency due to a bunch of recurring accidents.
Despite lifting seven trophies with Liverpool, the Guinea worldwide has been an underwhelming signing for the Premier League giants.
Overall, Keita has scored 11 targets and supplied seven assists in 117 appearances for Klopp’s aspect.
“Although I think Fabinho is a bit down on his form, with him, Thiago and Henderson fit and playing every week, I don’t think the midfield is as big a problem as people make out. Although you would like more choice,” Murphy advised talkSPORT.
He added, “Oxlade-Chamberlain is never fit. Keita’s probably been the worst signing out of the big ones. All the others have done well. And the two young lads [Elliott and Carvalho], although super talented, you can’t rely on them week in, week out.”
