Spain jails letterbomb suspect to avoid ‘flight to Russia’

The pensioner who allegedly despatched letter bombs to Spain’s prime minister and the Ukrainian embassy was positioned in pre-trial detention on Friday on grounds he might flee to “Russian territory”.
